Today was the first day of the Plein air painters of Middelburg, Zeeland the Netherlands, organized by Cees Takkenberg.

The first location was in the Port of Nieuwland, indeed boats. But I have painted a boat  still on shore.  Partly because of the wind direction I chose to paint in the shelter and not a boat that was moored in the harbor. Perhaps the next time a boat with reflection. It was a beautiful sunny day, so everyone was very happy and motivated.

An American Bill Guffey has a blog set up to make a painting using Google Street View, when he published his picture on his blog, there were more paintings by other artists sent him to show where they had been with Google maps.

Then he decided to create a website with a new challenge each month from places around the world.

I have enjoyed a virtual time walking around in Africa, the location from which this month the challenge is to be painted. I came out in Jalist Street, Kraaifontein, South Africa, where I’ve found a nice streetview from a lady who was working with her was when the car came by Google Maps.
